Why change lessons just because you have a sub in your classroom? Students know when they are being given busy work, and why should they read and answer questions just because you are not present? Sometimes sub lessons impede unit pacing, and there are no guarantees that the substitute is going to give the information to the class as intended. Remove the middleman and create interactive lessons designed for the students to follow, while the sub monitors behavior. Utilize Google Classroom, Google Suite, #hyperdocs, and YouTube to create complex, thought-provoking or collaborative lessons for your students.
