Lending Library, STEM Tools Playground, Vendor Show in S2
Visit our STEM Lending Library playground, meet some of our vendors, and play.  We have Vince, a student from Berkeley, who is showing off Raspberry Pi and Chip, little computers with big possibilities. The Valley View Mouse Squad students will help you figure out different ways to utilize tools from the Lending Library in your own MDUSD classroom. Hayoun will be showing off the laser cutter and some of the fun things we've done with it.  If you have a picture accessible online, you can try engraving a tile or a name tag.

In this session learn about how to teach coding in your middle school or high school with CodeHS, the most widely used platform for high school computer science. Get a chance to dive in and do your own coding in JavaScript, build your own portfolio web page in HTML and CSS, try out some Python, and learn about how to manage a blended coding classroom. We'll get a chance to do some coding but also learn some tricks for implementing computer science successfully in your school or district. This is sure to be a lively, informative, and engaging session, presented by Jeremy Keeshin, the CEO and co-founder of CodeHS, who has visited over 100 schools nationally for computer science.

You can also meet some of the College Park FIRST Robotics team members and hear about their newly build robot. They'll be competing with it next month, so we're only looking and not trying it! Hear about our new space, along with our plans for making it amazing.
